Typhoon "Du Suri" landfall in more than 10 provinces in Fujian will bring heavy rain

Typhoon Dusuri, the fifth typhoon of the year, landed on the coast of Jinjiang, Fujian Province, China, on Friday (July 28). It is the strongest typhoon to land in China this year and the second strongest typhoon to land in Fujian since complete observation records began.
According to China's Central Meteorological Observatory, the center of "Du Suri" has made landfall around 9:55 am on Friday, the maximum wind near the center of 50 meters per second, the intensity of a strong typhoon, the lowest pressure of 945 hpa.
"Du Suri" will continue to the north after landing, its residual circulation will even affect North China, Northeast China and other places, more than 10 provinces will have heavy rain, Zhejiang, Fujian and other places even have heavy rain, need to be alert to destructive wind and rain caused by disaster.
"Du Suri" is a rare "first-hand" typhoon that bypassed Taiwan Island and landed directly in Fujian, the landing intensity is second only to the 14th typhoon "Meranti" in 2016, becoming the second strongest typhoon to land in Fujian since there are complete observation records, and tied with the 15th typhoon in 1980.
According to thepaper.cn, China Meteorological Administration analysts said, "Du Suri" will weaken rapidly after landing, Saturday (29) morning, the impact of the wind will be significantly weakened, but as the typhoon weakened after the low pressure or residual cloud system northward, may also stay in North China, is expected to affect China's rainfall will continue until around August 2.
The China Meteorological Administration has launched a level 1 emergency response, the highest level, to guard against Typhoon Dusuri, and the Fujian provincial Meteorological Administration has also launched a Level 1 emergency response for major meteorological disasters. Xiamen, Zhangzhou and Quanzhou in Fujian Province and Shantou in Guangdong Province have all implemented work stoppage, suspension of classes and closure measures.
Affected by the typhoon, air, sea and land traffic in Fujian was blocked. Some passenger trains on several passenger business lines along the coast of Fujian were suspended, including all lines of passenger trains from 8 p.m. on Thursday (27th) to 11 p.m. on Friday (28th). In addition, Fuzhou International Airport has cancelled more than 50 flights in and out of Fuzhou on the 27th. All 183 ships off the coast of Fujian were suspended.
